Ainsley’s doorbell chimed again. Oh goodie. She clasped her hands together and shivered with anticipation. Whoever her mystery man was, he was back—and she was ready to play.

Standing tall, holding in her stomach in and smiling widely, she braced herself for what lay ahead as she headed for the foyer. She was intrigued by whether anyone would be there or not this time. Maybe it was some kind of hide and seek. Kinky hide and seek, she hoped.


Her hand trembled on the knob as she opened her front door.

“Oh,” she said, surprised to see a man holding a large box of chocolates out to her. A very good looking younger man with intense blue eyes. Good, she’d asked for that. So far...so good.

“Chocolates,” she purred, eyeing the trademark famous wrapping. “I love chocolate, especially Swiss.”

Casting her eyes up, she surveyed the hunk before her. Suit and tie. Umm. Not quite what she’d been expecting, but then what did someone who came to fulfil your deepest sexual desires wear? They couldn’t very well parade around in their undies. Embarrassed, she glanced down at her mostly naked self then back up at her guest. His vivid blue eyes were glued to her body, his mouth agape.

 “Oh, do come in,” she said, flattered that his gaze lingered on her as she held the door wide for him to enter.

“Uh...uhhh,” he said after a pause, stepping cautiously across the threshold and into the marble foyer.

Damn, he was undeniably sexy, just what she’d asked for. And oh so young, what was he, twenty-five, if that? And that look on his face...he looked confused, as if unsure. Well she’d be only too happy to kiss that look right off him. Oh, this was going to be fun.


“Miss Simmons?” he asked, shifting uncomfortably.
She pressed a finger across his lips to silence him.
“Ah, no names, the company said so, remember?” she said, not removing her finger.

“Call me...Mrs M.” She’d never been married, even though she’d lived with Charles for more years than proved wise. The very thought of going by a pseudonym sent an empowering thrill through her. Very Mrs Robinson, if she did say so herself.

“Mrs M,” he said, stepping back. Her finger fell from his lips. “I came to deliver”—he reached into his pocket as if looking for something—“to deliver... Damn,” he said, still searching for something.

“Later.” She was in no mood for any paperwork. It would just ruin the mood. As nervous as she was, now that her fantasy lover was there before her, she could barely wait for him to take control so she could just relax and be pleasured. Just as the Fantasies Incorporated’s website promised.

But he just stood there.

She waited, wondering if he was going to take charge soon. He didn’t make a move and she was nervous. Maybe she was supposed to make the first gesture? After all, she was the customer.

“Come...follow me,” she said, deciding she’d better make the first gesture. Leading the way through her cream and gold upholstered expanse of a living room, she stopped midway, sensing he wasn’t following. Glancing back, she saw he still stood in her wide front entrance.

“Well, come on,” she prompted, taking the moment to admire his sandy blond hair with the jagged edges that brushed just below his ears. She loved it when these young men wore their hair a little dishevelled and longer like he did. She couldn’t wait to tangle her fingers through it while he pleasured her. Fucked her. Her cheeks flamed hot at the thought.

Her fantasy man smiled, almost shyly, his brow arching slightly. A cocky look, if ever she’d seen one. What a turn on that was, he must be playing into this whole Mrs Robinson theme. He nodded and stepped out of her foyer and into her home, following her to the opulent living room. Her body surged with anticipation. This was going to be the best Valentine’s present ever. Glancing back, she saw his eyes were riveted to her ass. She grew wet at the thought.

“I was expecting you.” She filled the silence with a nervous laugh as she stopped at the well-stocked bar on the far side of the room. The silver ice bucket gleamed with condensation, and the two crystal flutes she’d set beside it shimmered against the setting sun. Beyond their refreshments was one of the best views in Beverly Hills.

“You were?” He gulped, his Adam’s apple showing as he swallowed.

She nodded. “I have champagne chilling...you do drink champagne, don’t you?” she inquired. Not waiting for the answer, she pulled the chilled bottle from the ice bucket. Slow droplets of condensation dripped onto the marble floor. “Here, you uncork it, I’m hopeless at it.” She handed him the bottle and sat down one of her bar stools, almost sliding off in her silky peignoir.


He smiled and loosened his tie. Oh, yum. He caught her gaze and he blushed. Fuck—did he really just blush? Oh, he played the Mrs Robinson thing better than she could have imagined.

The Always Cambridge Series by H K Carlton




Good day book fans, today I have fellow Totally Bound author H K Carlton as my guest.

 Sooo, remember when I say I would mix things up? Well today is one of those day. But instead of zombies thrown into the mix like the first time, this time H K and I are throwing in MOBSTERS! 

 I find mobsters scary but fascinating. They're kinda like a train wreck, I just can't seem to look away.

 Would I want to be apart of the life? NO WAY! I'm to squeamish and I have this weird aversion to bullets. One might call it an allergy.

 But oh, how I enjoy the drama and there is always plenty of drama when mobsters are involved.

 So for all you folks that enjoy the life and times of the underworld, here is another series for you, from H K Carlton.

The Always Cambridge Series

Family saga, crime, romantic suspense
  
Recently, I was asked what makes this series different from others in the same genre. I think Always Cambridge is different first off, because it is written in first person, from several different character's points of view, throughout the series. Book One is told from the viewpoint of Holly Cambridge and her bodyguard Randy Phillips. As the saga continues, other voices and characters are incorporated.

This series ultimately follows Holly from age nine well into her forties. It is violent and angry, but sweet and romantic in parts too. Book one, because Holly is still so young, is quite tame.  The sexual content as well as the violence escalates as the series goes on and really hits a climax, so to speak, in books three and four, where the storyline gets downright explicit and somewhat dark. The saga comes with many twists and turns that I think readers might not expect. I know some of them even surprised me while I was writing.

I stopped, turning to face him. “None of this is any of your doing,” I repeated his words quietly back to him.

Randy smirked but his eyes remained serious. “Smart, aren’t ya, little one. But my job is to keep you safe and I wasn’t here.” He stuffed his thumbs into his jacket pockets and said so softly that I had to lean in to hear him. “I was so scared I wouldn’t get here in time. I could hear your voice. And his.” He shook his head remembering.

My eyes filled. “I was scared too. But I knew you’d come. And Paddy. I trust you. The two of you are always here for me.”

He stepped closer to me and I had to look up.

“Patrick said the threat isn’t over. He said that man was not it.”

“No, he was just another bad man in a long line of many who walk the halls here, Holly.”

I shuddered at the thought.

Randy kept his head bowed but looked at me through lowered lashes. “Are you afraid of me now? After what you saw? Not just last night? But your friend, Timmy?” He exhaled shakily. He seemed to need my reassurance that I was still okay with him. I’d never seen him like this. He was never anything but confident in my eyes.

“We are all bad men here, Holly.” His stormy grey look was intense. Was he trying to warn me? It was not something I wanted to hear right now.

“Is the man dead?” I asked.

I heard his teeth grind. “He was alive when the others removed him from here last night. I didn’t kill him.”

I turned away from him. Angry. “Well, that makes it alright then, doesn’t it!”

“Yeah, that’s right, Holly. See what’s really going on. Take your blinders off. You’re a smart girl.”

He grabbed me and spun me back around to face him. His eyes narrowed. “I’m not a good guy, Holly. No one on this whole goddamn compound is good except for you and the longer you stay here…” He let me go and stepped away from me. He ran his hand through his hair in frustration. “Sometimes you look at me and I can see in your eyes that you think I’m…” His lips thinned as he searched for the right words. “…like I’m your own personal saviour. I’m here to keep you safe, Holly, but I can’t save you from what’s going on here. I can’t stop this from tainting and shaping your life. This is going to be your life forever. You’ll always need protection. You will never have that ‘normal’ life that I see that you crave.”

“Don’t say that! Don’t say it, Randy!” I rushed at him wanting him to stop.

He pulled me into his arms, he whispered in my ear, “See what’s going on. Accept it. The sooner you do the easier it’s going to be for you.”

Into the Spirit Box Set




I'm in a Box Set...WOO HOO!

 Okay...well The Soul Within is in the box set. I however get to sit on the side lines grinning like a fool because my book has been lumped together with some pretty amazing Authors. 
*Queue foolish grin* tee hee

 I personally like box sets. They're cheaper than buying all the books individually, you only have to download them once and it's convenient if they are all part of a series. Saves time on hunting down the next book. 

Box sets are particularly great if you are the type of person that likes to be kept on your toes. 

 You know...you want to read different Authors, and different story lines, BUT you want all books to fall into the same genre like...Erotic Paranormal Romance perhaps!  

 So if you are that type of person, INTO the SPIRIT will suit you perfectly.
